GetAbby's History

GetAbby, Inc. was founded in 2006 with a focus on bringing Articial Intelligence to the world. The company represents a coming together of the minds of four true entrepreneurs. While the company is new, its technology is proven and its market is tested. It utilizes Carnegie Mellon Univeristy technology that was spun out of the University in early 2000 and that has generated millions of dollars in yearly revenue since.

Abby combines articial intelligence with powerful voice recognition and text-to-speech technology. She can bring interactivity to your website as an avatar that communicates with users in a variety of ways. She turns a one-way broadcast into a dialogue. Further, Abby can exist on the phone, doing outbound calling campaigns as well as acting a receptionist or personal assistant. It doesn't end there-- the Abby technology can go further to automate and optimize almost any process across an organization.

GetAbby is the leading enhanced Interactive Voice Response Services Provider (eIVR) delivered over Telephony and Internet networks. The platform features patented, unique learning agents known as Abby (Awareness, Balance, Behavior & Yield); offers bundled services, including natural language processing (NLP), artificial intelligence (AI) over a managed-hosted VoIP environment. Abby on the web is used for FAQ’s, Q&A, hosting, navigation, 24/7 focus group research, advertising (often coupled with an outbound phone call), sales and education. Abby on the phone is used for outbound calling, call center support (reducing call center volume), education, and converging the web and phone thru automatic triggers on either end.

As a spinout of Carnegie Mellon University - their Human Computer Interaction Institute, CMU is a shareholder in Eidoserve, and the CEO of Eidoserve is a Professor at CMU. Abby uses patented technology (issued in 1999 and enhanced), exclusively licensed from Carnegie Mellon University. Abby talks, listens, answers questions and asks questions, all in a conversational atmosphere. Abby is not ‘keyword’ based, but rather grammatically based as she breaks apart each sentence into subject, noun, verb, and adjective – in order to capture the true meaning and references required for normal conversation. Abby’s costs are kept low by complete ‘front to back’ VoIP integration. In volume, Abby can often accomplish her tasks for as low as a nickel (5 cents) per phone call.
